Rafael Nadal ended Mikhail Youzhny's hopes of qualifying for the season-ending Masters Cup beating the Russian 6-4 6-2 to hit the semi-finals of the Paris Masters.
Nadal, faces Marcos Baghdatis in the semi-finals after the Cypriot play Tommy Robredo 6-4 6-4 to encourage his own Masters Cup qualification hopes while ending those of the Spaniard.
